Man AHL Graduate 2015
I joined Man AHL as a graduate after having completed an internship at the firm in 2014. During my internship, I enjoyed working in an open and meritocratic environment, and I saw in Man AHL an exceptional platform to develop my career. My role as a Quantitative Analyst focuses primarily on research and the development of systematic trading models – this requires both an understanding of how markets work and the technical toolkits for building statistically sound trading models. I enjoy the intellectual challenge of trying to beat the markets and the strong focus on innovation at Man AHL, which keeps things exciting.
The people themselves are highly valued at the firm – we are given regular feedback and dedicated time to help us develop as individuals, and also opportunities to undertake sponsored formal training and qualifications. That said, what has been most valuable has been the on the job training – the experienced gleaned from the fruitful work here. The environment at Man AHL is very collaborative and this allows one to benefit from the synergies within and across various teams, enabling new-joiners to pick up the skills required to thrive at their roles – and careers.
